Stinson pov.
I stared viciously at this woman who dared to play fake death under my nose.
It's been five years, and her features were the same as they were five years ago, except that her clean, fair face had lost its youthfulness and innocence. Now she looked cold and aloof.
"Humph!" She laughed coldly and raised her head to look at me, "What? Are you not happy to see me alive? You wanted to know if that two babies survived simply because you were so overwhelmed with guilty. Well, I'm sorry, but I'm the only one that survived! Stinson! It was you who killed my two children!"
I was so gagged by her words that I began to ask myself, "Did I want my two children to live to reduce my own guilt?
Bella saw my lack of response and she became even more aggressive, taunting me, "Wouldn't it have been better for me to fake my own death in the first place? Didn't you say you never admitted that I was your wife? Didn't you say that the woman you wanted to marry was always Kelsey? If I die, I could just make it so much easier for you."
I looked at the woman in front of me and had the feeling that I didn't recognize her at all. Was she really the same Bella that I had known? This woman standing in front me was vicious and mean, and her words could tear me apart like a knife.
I was so angry at her words that my face darkened. I couldn't hold back my anger and yelled at her loudly.
"You still think you're so smart, don't you? Take her back!"
She flinched, "where do you want to take me? I'm a legal citizen of M Country. Stinson, I’m telling you. It's against the law for you to arrest me!"
I said with a sneer, "The law? In this country, I am the law!"
At my command, several bodyguards in black appeared in the office.
"Stinson! Let go of me! You're the one who wished me to disappear in the first place so you could be together with that bitch, and now you want to take me back? What are you doing? You must be crazy! Help! Help me!"
"Go ahead and scream, see if anyone dares to save you." I said with a cold smile.
Bella pov.
I was taken to the Dalton Hotel and finally shoved into an amazingly large suite.
But I was in no mood for appreciating how luxurious the penthouse suite really was right now. I rubbed my pinched wrist and was just about to snap at Stinson when a tiny figure suddenly stepped out and he walked up to Stinson.
"Daddy, you're 27 minutes late. My kindergarten class is cancelled for the day!"
Daddy? Why did this kid call Stinson daddy?
I was so surprised for a moment that I forgot I had been caught by Stinson. I looked at his side in a daze.
Stinson knelt down on one knee in front of the child and replied, "Yanni, I’m sorry, daddy didn’t mean to be late. Let me make it up to you later, okay?"
Yanni answered expressionless, "When you sign a contract with a client, will the client forgive you if you use this excuse?"
Stinson, "..."
"Daddy, who is she?" Suddenly, this kid named Yanni turned to me and asked.
When I got a good look at his face and eyes, I suddenly trembled with a chill. It was like an electric current went through my head, making my whole body shiver.
This kid looked just like him. Was he my other child?
At this moment, the man squatting in front of Yanni answered, "Daddy don’t know her. Well, since you can't go to kindergarten today, let Uncle Quinn take you to play and get something to eat on the way."
Yanni nodded. He was soon led away by Quinn.
I asked Stinson.
"Stinson...Yanni...this child, is he my other child?"
"Yanni's mother died a long time ago, and I picked her grave myself. He’s not your child!"
How could he say such a thing? I shouted at the damned man.
"I'm his mother! He is my son!"
Stinson's face sank with anger. He threw his glass to the floor, and angrily shouted at me.
"You're the one who abandoned him! You have no right to say you’re his mommy!"
"I ..."
I was unable to refute what he said. Yes, I chose to play dead that year and left this child with the Stinson family. Now I want him to call me mommy, how am I going to explain to him? Do I tell him that I didn't actually die, but I just didn't want him at the time?
My knuckles went pale from the clenching of my fists.
"Stinson, what do you want to do with me? You don't get me here to cure you, do you? Because I won’t treat you."
Stinson sneered with a disdainful smile, "Of course not. There are so many famous doctors in this world, and I'm not stupid enough to risk my life."
"Then what exactly do you want to bring me here?"
"I want you to meet some people. Bella, do you know how many sins you owe for pretending to be dead and walking away for the past five years? Have you forgotten those who care about you?"
How could I forget those people who cared about me?
Master Stettner, and Aunt Livia's family.
Master Stettner was always very kind to me,. Even when his own son resent me, Master Stettner was still very loving to me.
Then there was Aunt Livia and her family. When my family broke down, my father went to prison and my mother committed suicide. Aunt Livia took care of me until I married Stinson.
Stinson sneered at me and taunted, "my father almost died because he was unable to withstand the shock of your 'death' that he got into a serious illness. My father cared for you so much, and this is how you pay him back. How could you do this to him?"
Damn it! The man’s words were like a sharp blade, stabbing into my heart fiercely. I bit my lip hard for a moment before easing down, a row of teeth marks imprinted on my lips.
"You are right, it’s all my fault. I shouldn’t have married you in the first place." I said coldly.
Stinson was stunned. Perhaps he didn't expect me to regain my composure so quickly.
"I know you want to stimulate me, torment me with guilt, and make me suffer the condemnation of my conscience, so as to satisfy your sick and disgusting fun. I won't fall for it. Let me go!"
"That's not gonna happen. I will take you home to my father!"
With a grim face, Stinson fiercely flung down these words and turned to leave.
The moment I saw the door open, I immediately pounced on it. But before I could reach the door, I was blocked by several black-clad bodyguards, who took out their pistols and aimed at my head.
Stinson turned his head and gave me a contemptuous look, "Don’t try to run away. I will lock you up for the rest of your life ."
Assistant Quinn pov.
"Uncle Quinn, when can we go home?"
Inside the restaurant of Dalton Hotel, Yanni, the young master kept asking me impatiently.
"Young Master, be good. we can't go home yet. We came here to see your father’s doctor. Don't you want daddy to get well sooner?"
"The aunt that daddy brought today, is she here to see him?"
"I guessed..., right." I was a little dumbfounded by the question. I certainly could not tell him that aunt was his mother.
After a moment of silence, Yanni still seemed to be worried about his father. The president had kept telling Yanni that his mother had died of illness. Yanni was very afraid when daddy was sick. He was afraid that he might lose his daddy too.
Yanni lowered his head, and he looked very upset. He picked up the knife and fork in front of him, and then said, "Well, then, I will be good and stay here. You go tell daddy to be nicer to that lady. Don't be so mean!"
"Ahem...okay, okay. I'll tell your daddy."
I ordered a take-out and was going to send it up to Mrs. Bella. And I was going to persuade Mr. Stinson.
I greeted my bodyguard to watch on Yanni and then left.
However, when I arrived at the top floor from the elevator, I noticed that something was obviously wrong. All the bodyguards in charge of security were gone. I rushed into Mrs. Bella's room, which was empty, and there was a note on the desk with the word "losers" written on it.
