#Chapter6

I stepped out of the elevator in time to see Richard walking into his office. He stops abruptly when his assistant calls out to him. I don't think I've ever seen him turn so fast in my life. I mean Hes in his 50's now and Hes getting old.

"come in, Tina" he calls over his shoulder. With a hand on my bag I walk through the floor and head straight to his office. The workers on this floor are so serious but yet they manage to send me a smile as I walk through.

I send them each a smile back.

Once I stepped into the office Richard comes towards me and cradles my face in his strong hands.

"you look like you've shed unnecessary tears my darling" he says looking in my eyes and wiping away the fallen tars. When I step into his office I breakdown.

"Richard, he did the one thing I wished he never did" I say melting into palm.

"why didn't he just break up with me" that would have been easier for all of us. I wasn't madly in love with the man but he ended up hurting me by treating me like shit.

"as a man, I would like to say I could relate but honestly I can't he is weak my darling" he tells me as he takes my hand and pulls me to the sitting area he has in his office.

Richard has always been a father figure to me, he took care of me when I needed it and was always the man that made me feel protected. I'm not going to lie he may have taken advantage of that but he never really overstepped the boundaries.

"I have handled it, I knew you would come to see me darling so I've fired her and as for your bastard of a fiancé well ex fiancé he will stay here where I can make sure he gets enough to survive here in the city" he says typing away on his phone quickly before turning his gaze back to me.

"That means no promotion, no bonus no trips to clients he will word day and night at that desk until he decides to leave"

"Thank you, Richard you always know exactly, what to do" I tell him resting back in the chair against his arms that lays on the back.

"I promised your parents I would always care for you didn't I darling so no need to thank me" he leans forward placing a soft kiss on my head. Just like my father used to do.

I smile at the familiar feeling.

"now "he moves in closer.

"Are you going to tell me about your new muse" he asks me meanwhile wiggling his eyebrows.

I bow my head in my hands embarrassed. Of course, he saw the pictures.

"it's nothing of the sort "I mumble fiddling with the end of his blazer.

"I beg to differ, darling" I stopped fiddling with it when he held my fingers and massaged my hands. He always did this and it always made me relax especially when I was fidgeting.

"he's charming, handsome but Hes completely out of my league" I barely had the time to look at him because he grabbed my chin and turned my head toward him. Not like how henry did it was more of a gentle motion.

"Now that is bullshit Tina if anything you were settling for henry, I can see you and young Lorenzo reminds me of his father every time I see him" Richard rifts off thinking of the fond memories with Nathaniel testoro I knew that they were friends as well as business acquaintances before they've drifted apart however due to Richard being very busy.

"well I doubt anything will come of it, Hes busy working on his career" I shrug my shoulder leaning back again. People need to stop grabbing my chin its getting painful.

"you wait, when the testoro men feast their eyes on a beautiful woman they never stop, just look at his wife she gave him such a hard time but in the end, he got her" he knows I won't listen but he still tries.

"Darling if you ever need me again please come I've missed you, you know" we both stand at his door in his office. He gathers me for a hug slightly lifting me off the floor.

"I will I will send my love to Sharon and your beautiful daughter will you" I say to him, straightening his tie from its wonky position.

"of course, "he smiled down at me.

As I made my way out of the building a sudden weight was lifted off my chest. The fact that didn't have to put up with his shit anymore was a massive relief.

The private carpark next to the building caught my eye, with a smirk on my face I took a nearby small car piece and walked over to his big Mercedes that stood out from the rest, well except Richards jaguar that was at the very front.

I looked up to the building and saw Richard standing at the entrance smirking at me. He edges me to go on. This is why I love that man.

I walked around the car digging the sharp end into the body of the car before scraping along it and busting the lights.

I would have stayed longer but I saw some paparazzi cars driving nearby with camera leaning out the windows.

I walked further down the street to my favourite bakery. I needed some donuts.

I felt guilty for only getting some for myself so before I left and grabbed a few more to take home to Rachel and Natasha since I gathered we'd all be going out tonight.

"I've never been so proud of you in my life" Rachel screams as soon as I walk through the doors. She still only has her underwear on so I quickly shut the door before the woman flashes some poor guy.

"It felt amazing "I gleam at her. It honestly did.

"let's keep this mood going then" she laughs pulling me by the bag of donuts and dancing to the music.

I laughed with her and followed her into the house.

"I got us in to a really good club tonight you have no idea the kind of men that we will find" she mutters after we've danced for a while. we're laying on the sofa watching a movie while eating pizza that just got delivered.

I hate to drag her away from the door, she was practically eye raping the poor guy that looked barely 18.

"seriously, god I'm so excited" I stare longingly at the ceiling already feeling heart beating fast at thought of dancing with some hot guys that won't be boring just like my ex fiancé.

He never had fun and we barely went out together because he just wouldn't dance he would sit there drinking and just watch.

"It's good to have you back Tina" she says rolling over and hugging me tightly against her chest.
