Darius's Pov

We were moving through the corridor heading toward the drainage tunnel when I heard a loud grinding sound. Metal doors started sliding down from the ceiling ahead of us and behind us.

"Run!" I shouted.

We sprinted forward but the door ahead slammed shut before we could reach it. The door behind us closed too with a heavy boom. We were trapped in a section of corridor with no way forward or back.

"What just happened?" Marcus asked looking around frantically.

"It is a trap," Soraya said from where I was holding her. Her voice was weak. "I told you. The Patriarch knew we would come."
