I woke up early the next morning and found Elder Nahara sitting by the fire drinking tea. She looked up when I entered and gestured for me to sit beside her.

"How is Soraya?" she asked.

"Still sleeping. She had nightmares all night about the spirit. I could hear her crying out in her sleep but every time I tried to wake her she would not respond."

"That is because Kieran was tormenting her in her dreams. He knows I am trying to help her and he is fighting back the only way he can. By making her too scared to continue with the separation process."
