We drove for two days straight and finally reached the northern mountains just as the sun was setting on the third day. We had to go back because my blackouts were getting too critical. We had no choice. The landscape here was completely different from anything I had seen before. Everything was covered in snow and the trees were tall and dark and seemed to go on forever in every direction.
