The control device was sending wave after wave of intense pain through my entire body and I could barely think straight anymore. Every single nerve was on fire and all I wanted was for it to stop.

"Please," I gasped desperately. "Please make it stop."

"Stop resisting and the pain will stop," the Patriarch's voice said directly in my head through the device.

"I will never stop resisting you."

"Then you will continue to suffer."

Another massive pulse of pain crashed through me and I screamed loudly. My body convulsed violently and I fell hard to my knees. The wolf inside me was howling in rage and pain....
