Darius's Pov

We moved through the fortress corridors after climbing out of the drainage tunnel. The mate bond pulled me forward like a rope tied around my chest. Every step I took the pull grew stronger and more urgent.

"Which way?" Marcus whispered from behind me.

I closed my eyes for a second and focused on the bond. "That way. Down that corridor."

We moved quickly but quietly. The sounds of Dante's diversion were loud even inside the fortress. Explosions shook the walls and I could hear gunfire echoing through the stone passages. It was working. The guards were all focused on the attack at the main gate.
