Ember's POV

"She is out of danger now, Luna," the Theta of the pack said, standing behind me but I gave her no response. My attention was solely on my baby, watching her as she slept peacefully.

I still couldn't bring myself to accept the fact that I was this close to losing her. If Faye hadn't brought her to the Theta immediately I don't know what would have happened.

I didn't even want to think about it because the thought of it alone makes my heart tremble in fear. I can't believe my baby had to go through all that pain on her own and I couldn't do anything...
