Chapter Forty Nine

Zekell looked horrified. He hadn’t expected that to happen.

He stood up and rushed to Senina’s side.

“Sen, I was only joking. Please don’t be upset. I innocently tease you all the time. ” He gently rubbed her arms and leaned into her face. “You know I would never try to hurt your feelings on purpose.”

Senina’s tears stopped as quickly as they had started.

She wiped her cheeks and smiled wearily. “It’s fine Z; just a needed outburst of emotions.” She took a deep breath and slowly exhaled. “I’m fine now. I’m sorry for making you worry; I wasn’t crying because of what you said.”
