Chapter 88

“I don’t know why people think I enjoy this.” Derek muttered as he rounded the corner of the east dormitory wing.

It was time for his usual morning patrol around the dormitory. The weekend was here already, and he had to make sure there were no stragglers from late night drinking hiding around.  

His mind wandered to Talia and how she was working herself harder than anyone else in preparation for the tournament.

A smile tugged at his lips at the thought. Maybe he will join the next training session. 

Talia had been working herself to exhaustion lately, and Derek wanted him to know he was not alone...
