Talia held her bag closer to her chest as she made her way through the hallway to the class. The pain from the ball had not subsided at all, and she wondered how long she would have to bear with this pain.

"Hey! Watch where you're going," Selene's shrill voice rang out as she was about to round a corner.

Talia took a step back, slightly puzzled to see Selene in front of her. "I didn't see you there," she managed.

Selene looked at her face, and touched her hair lightly. "I see that you had a haircut," she observed.
