Talia’s heart was pounding, but she couldn’t focus, so she kept pretending to be very interested in the homework spread out in front of her.
But she couldn't concentrate. Not when Damon had just announced he was going to take a shower.
“Be calm, Talia. Be calm,” she whispered to herself, leaning back against the bed.
The bathroom door clicked shut, and Talia released a breath she didn't know she was holding.
Sharing a dorm room with Damon was hard. Harder than she'd ever imagined when she'd first disguised herself as a boy to get into this school.
