Chapter 69

The final scene of the drama ended with the sound of the violins hitting a crescendo. The actors bowed as applause thundered through the grand hall. 

The announcer stepped forward with a smile, his voice echoing off the walls of the ballroom. "And now, the moment you've all been waiting for… it’s time for the First Dance!"

More applause filled the room and excited whispers rippled through the crowd.

Students began pairing up as boys extended hands to girls, before moving toward the center of the hall where the polished floor gleamed under chandeliers.
