In the infirmary, Talia lay on a bed but everything hurt. She could barely draw in a breath without her ribs feeling like it was about to explode. 

‘Wake up, Talia. Wake up! Titi's panicked voice echoed in her mind.

Talia tried to open her eyes but they felt so heavy. She could hear voices surrounding her. 

"We need to remove her shirt to check for wounds," Dr. Lanxy said. "There could be injuries we can't see."

‘Talia!’ Titi hissed urgently this time. 

Talia's eyes shot open. Her hand flew out and slapped Dr. Lanxy's hands away.
