Esher cast a spell so that the VIP room in front of her was turned into a regular inpatient room. Esher had already calculated the greatest possibility that the room in front of her was real, however, the contents of Esher's wallet were gnawing in disbelief. The brown-haired girl closed her eyes, again mumbling hoping her spell would work. When he peeked out of the corner of his eye, Esher was instantly miserable.
My wallet!!!
Just as he made up his mind to enter the room that made him want to cry hysterically, the door was already open. Esher glared in surprise. The middle-aged woman glared sharply at him. "Why are you there? Enter!"
Shrunken Esher!
When she with a downcast face started to enter the room, it was obvious that the middle-aged woman was glaring at her, Esher seemed to be sacrificing her life. Terrifying. Serious. There, the figure of the victim that Esher had hit lay weak. His leg was in a cast, as was his head. While the victim's hand was given a support. Esher was very guilty right then and there.
"Look! Your driving behavior!”
Esher shriveled even more when she heard the woman's voice.
"Ma, that's okay. Noel just hasn't met the person who made Noel like this."
Esher looked up. At last they met for the first time. Esher could recognize the aura of intimidation in that gaze. Though Esher could see the man's face had some scratches on it, maybe he had smelled the asphalt at the time of the incident. Also the corners of his lips that hurt. Could it be that his lips hit Bobo's bumper?! Gosh, Esher! Just die, you!!!
"Anyway, this girl must be responsible. Don't you pity him, Noel." Helsa, the eccentric middle-aged woman's name, echoed in a voice full of emphasis. "Mama's child's handsome face is not handsome anymore, right."
Esher didn't know how to respond. This, seriously talking about looks at a time like this? Again, his face was just a scratch. Can you worry more about other things? Like his feet, lah. His hands, lah. His bandaged head, lah. Good grief! Esher deals with what kind of people, huh?
"What's your name?" asked the victim who Esher knew was pointing at her.
"Esher, sir," Esher squeaked.
“Ma, Pa, Noel wants to talk to Esher first. Just a moment."
It is certain that Helsa snorted disapprovingly. "Why is it? Want to play secrets with Mama? Do you want to let him go?”
"Mom, please." Noel who knew his mother's nature could only sigh softly. The pain all over his body was getting worse because he heard Helsa was louder than the previous days.
Feeling it was time to act, William, a middle-aged man who seemed calm and preferred to keep himself busy with his subscribers' newspapers, pulled his wife out. Slowly, not in a hurry. William still loves life and ears. Even then, he still received a big protest from his wife who did not accept that the son wanted to talk to a young girl who no longer had a blush on her face. Maybe he was so shocked by his wife's fussiness.
"Daddy what's wrong?! Push Mama like this?!” Right, what did William say? His wife must have protested.
"Let Noel talk to Esher first."
Helsa pouted, but if His Majesty William had spoken. The empress seemed to have to obey. Helsa still loved the gold-type cards that William always filled when he obeyed. Shouldn't the wife obey her husband?
After making sure his parents closed the door, Noel motioned for Esher to come closer. Noel could still see the relieved expression the girl had when her parents, perhaps more towards the mother, came out of the room. He really is too.
"I'm sorry, sir," said Esher apologetically after pulling one of the chairs not far from the victim's gurney.
"What to do. I'm not easy to forgive, really." Noel grimaced a little because of the stinging at the corners of his lips. Looks like he needed a mirror to see how bad the wound was on his face.
Uh?
Esher stared strangely at the reluctant-looking man.
"You were driving pretty fast, you know, when it happened."
Esher swallowed nervously. Is not it?
"Once again, I am sorry."
Noel seemed to nod and at the same time he grimaced again. The corners of his lips twitched quite hard, sore. Unlucky!
"Ugh, it must be really painful, huh." Esher felt even more guilty. He came closer and without warning, he touched the man's face gently. Made the man stiffen. His moaning got worse because his body suddenly stiffened.
Girls with spontaneity!!!
"Uh, sorry!" Esher cursed herself for being insolent. "I am really sorry." Stupidly Esher, the bandaged hand was touched. Making the man who had his head bandaged suddenly scream.
“Sorry...sorry...” Esher is really stupid!!!
Noel wanted to swear harshly. The corners of his lips stung unbelievably. Maybe the wound is open again. But what's worse, the right hand that Esher's had touched earlier was more than painful. Double damn this girl!!!After catching his breath and the pain subsided, Berra cleared his throat briefly. Then his eyes scanned the girl who looked restless in her seat. Her face is quite beautiful. Her brown hair perfectly adds to the beauty of the girl's expression. That touch too. Gentle. That is, the type of woman who is willing to volunteer herself to take care of her body with difficulty.
Suddenly he remembered his mother with a cart of skincare.
“Next time drive carefully. See the aftermath, right?”
The girl nodded obediently. He looked down, probably feeling guilty. Noel still wanted to ramble on. Forget about his thoughts about the beauty of the girl. Because of him, he must feel crushed in some parts. Pain and pain alternated now he felt. Worse, he had to postpone a lot of work that had piled up.
Bobby, his grumpy assistant is sure to get mad at him urging him to spend more for bonuses and extra hours for taking over his job.
"It's good that I didn't die."
"Oh, dad, don't say that. I dare not imagine. Before I go to prison, I'm not married!" Esher screamed hysterically. His brain immediately went to work imagining it happening right in front of his eyes.
No! No! He didn't want to imagine that.
"Indeed you are the only one who is not married! Me, too!" Noel felt like screaming but couldn't. So he just said in a low, cynical tone.
The girl's lips pouted.
"Like my mother said, you have to take responsibility."
Esher looked up and nodded slowly. "Yes, I'm definitely responsible, sir."
"Everything. Without exception."
Esher's brow furrowed deeply. "It means?"
The corners of the lips did hurt a little, but that didn't lessen the sly grin that Noel gave off. "Everything. You don't understand."
"Sorry, I'm a bit slow when it comes to implied language, sir." Esher was honest.
Noel smirked even more. “Besides the cost, you also have to want me to enslave. I can't work like this, can I? My limbs are limited in movement. Meanwhile I have a lot of work. Then my personal life is also disturbed because of this.”
Esher blinked slowly. He was suddenly overcome with unpleasant things to hear later.
"Responsibility. It's all your fault. That's right, Esher?"
Esher swallowed again. It's like falling into a crocodile pond! His intentions are good, he wants to be responsible, but why is it like being used, huh?
"Get me some food. I am hungry."
Feeling still jet lagged with what she just heard, Esher was silent.
"That's part of the responsibility so you know."
Esher nodded obediently feeling unable to refute. He walked over to the nightstand where food was provided for the patient. The food is still mushy rice with carrot soup and chunks of meat. There are also pieces of fruit. It looks delicious but Esher is sure, it's not as good as the food at the mall. Or at least the dishes are often burnt at the bottom.
"Brib."
Esher stared.
"Yes, you feed me, lah. Can I use my hands like this? Thinking!"
Esher's jaw nearly dropped! His mouth gasped, his eyes bulging in disbelief.
It's still better for him to deal with the eccentric mother earlier.
