"What have you decided, Myra?" Lily asked in a soft voice to keep her friend's boiling up blood in a cool state. 

"Nothing as much, Lily. I can't believe this man. Being my biological father, he had never thought to take any responsibility for us. Now he is asking a 22-year grown-up girl to go back to India with him? Am I joking with him?"

"Maybe he wants to fix everything. Maybe he is asking for your forgiveness and trying to ease the pain of you."

"By what? Taking me back to India, to join the circus there?" Myra didn't notice that Arjun had arrived behind her....
