#Chapter7

Jayda's POV

I have never felt so happy and relaxed. After our love confession we quickly fell asleep, we were both emotionally drained by all the Ellie and Kyle drama. I then woke up to a delicious breakfast in bed that Maddox made me.

"Another one? I thought it was finally over" Maddox whines when another episode of 'America's next top model' starts. We have been cuddling in bed for hours watching Tv.

"It’s called a marathon for a reason babe" I say rolling my eyes.

He kisses the top of my head "Can we change the channel though? This is jeopardizing my manliness. I already know what a smize is" I can hear the pout in his voice.

I turn my face towards him and kiss his pout. I start channel surfing and see that 'Man vs wild' is on.

"Oh my god! Let’s watch this" I say excitedly.

He chuckles "You like survival shows?" He asks me.

I nod "I used to watch this with my mom" I say, remembering how we would watch Bear Grylls survive different dangerous places.

Maddox nods and kisses my knuckles.

"Oh, shit. I forgot to tell you" he says suddenly making me mute the tv and turn towards him.

"What is it?" I ask.

"We are going to visit a neighboring pack in two days" he tells me.

"Ummm why?" I ask.

"I need to do some work over there and also they are making a BBQ in honor of me finding my mate" he says with a smile.

"Really? Can Ellie and Nikki come?" I ask hopefully.

Maddox shrugs "If you want, then they can come"

"Really?"

"Yeah, I might be a little busy at first and I don't want you to get bored" he says making me smile.

"Thanks, I am going to tell Nikki and Ellie to come to the mall with me later today so we can buy some clothes for the trip" I tell him.

"Yeah okay, but don't take too long since its already 4 pm and I don't want you guys being in town when its late. I've already told you how rogues are" he reminds me.

He is so perfect, I mean in the short time I have known him, he has been taking care of me and giving me love and being the best mate I could have ever asked for.

"I love you so much Maddox, I don't think I have ever loved someone as much as you. I loved my mom a lot but when I am with you I feel complete and when I am far from you it hurts" I say looking into his eyes.

"I love you more Jayda, I am so fucking lucky I have you as a mate and I am so sorry I have been such a shitty mate but I promise I will make it up to you" he says, pressing his lips to mine. This kiss, unlike the other kissed is soft. It shows our love for each other and it makes my heart flutter.

My phone rings, making me jump and accidentally bite hard on Maddox bottom lip.

He hisses pulling away. He presses his thumb against his bottom lip then looks at it and sees that there is blood on it.

"Wow Jayda, I didn't know you liked it aggressive" he says bursting out laughing and I groan in embarrassment.

The phone keeps ringing and I pick it up. "What?" I snap, pissed because whoever called made me embarrass myself in front of Maddox.

"Omg! Jay don't tell me I interrupted you guys having sex!! I thought you were saving you were staying a Virgin forever. Not that I am judging of course, cause Kyle and I had sex as soon as we were alone but I am me and you are you" Ellie rambles making my eyes widen.

"Ellie, what the hell! No I did not have sex and please I don't want to know if you and Kyle had sex" I say rubbing my temple.

"Well then, but I do want to know when You and Maddox have sex" she says excitedly making me roll my eyes and Maddox's eyes widen.

"What the hell!, when we have sex she will not know about it" Maddox says, obviously having heard what Ellie said through the phone.

I blush deep red. "Ellie tell me what the hell do you want or I will hang up" I threaten, she may be my best friend but she is annoying as fuck.

"I wanted to know if you wanted to hang out" she says.

"Okay, sure. I was going to call you and Nikki to come with me to the mall so let’s go now. Let me call Nikki and I will meet you outside" I say and hang up.

"Ellie is crazy" I say as soon as I hung up.

He nods "yes she is, that’s why I don't want her to know anything about our sexual life, I know she will make it weird"

"I won’t tell her" I say pecking his lips and standing up to get dressed.

When I am finally ready I walk back towards the room.

"I am leaving now" I say, walking towards where he was putting on his shoes and giving him a kiss.

"Okay, I am going to head to Beta Leonardo's house to do some work. Love you baby" he says.

"Love you way more babe" I say exiting the house only to be tackled to the floor by Ellie.

"Ellie, get off me" I say in between laughs. She rolls off me.

"Looks like Nikki is not here yet" Ellie says frowning and my eyes widen.

"Uh, I forgot to call Nikki" I say sheepishly.

Ellie gives me a 'really' look and I nod.

She sighs "Let’s go tell her now then" she says and Starts walking towards Nikki's house.

When we get to Nicole's house Ellie bangs on the door.

"Dude! You will make a scene" I scold Ellie while pulling her backwards making her stumble slightly

She shrugs "Who cares? You are now Luna which is technically a free pass to do whatever you want" Ellie says.

I scowl at her "I would never use my tittle to get away with things"

She sighs dramatically "fine"

Nikki opens the door. "What’s with all the noise you assholes" She says with a scowl on her face.

I smile sheepishly at her. "We are going to the mall, I forgot to call you and Ellie was banging on your door because she has no manners what so ever"

"I'll get my purse" Nikki mutters and goes back inside.

When She comes back, we make our way towards the mall.

When we finally get to the mall Ellie runs out of Nikki's truck with a smile.

I had just told them we were all going to visit the neighboring pack and go to a BBQ over there and Ellie was super excited.

Nikki was happy about it but she knew how to control her excitement.

"Okay, so we need to buy clothes for the BBQ and Then whatever else we want to buy" I tell them with an excited smile.

"True, I am also hungry so you need to hurry up picking something this time" Nikki says making me roll my eyes.

I pout "I just wanted to look good"

"Whatever" she mutters and keeps walking.

"I also want new combat boots" I tell them.

"More? You have like a million pairs of combat boots" Ellie exclaims making me shrug.

"I like them okay?"

"We've noticed" Nikki says with a laugh.

3 hours later we all have a bunch of outfits.

"I am so fucking hungry" Nikki whines making Ellie and I roll our eyes.

"It’s already 7 and Maddox didn't want us to be in town this late, maybe we should go back now and eat at home?" I say hopefully.

"Hell no! We are going to the damn food court and eating" Nikki exclaims making her way towards the food court.

I look at Ellie and she just shrugs.

We decide on getting so chipotle and sitting down at one of the tables scattered all over the place.

"Jayda?" A male voice says making my eyes snap towards the sound of the voice and see him.

Carson, the guy who I thought was the love of my life until I turned 16.

I was dating him but when Ellie told me about mates I dumped him. Ellie told me that a mate is a werewolf's other half. That the love I thought I felt for Carson was nothing compared to what I would feel for my mate.

And she was right.

I cared for Carson, we had been dating since I was 13 years old but in the short time I have known Maddox, I know that I could never love anyone like I love him. It’s impossible, Maddox is perfect for me in every way. We are so different and so alike at the same time.

"Errn, hi Carson" I say waving awkwardly at him.

"How are you?" He asks with a kind smile, his warm Hazel eyes meeting mine.

"I am good, you? I haven't seen you since you moved to live with your aunt" I say with a friendly smile.

"Yeah, when you dumped me" he mutters under his breath, and if I didn't have enhanced hearing I wouldn't have heard him.

"What did you say?" I ask with a raised eyebrow.

He blushes "Umm no, nothing. I have been good I moved back here" he says running a hand through his dirty blonde hair.

"That’s good" I mutter awkwardly, I mean what was I supposed to say?

"How's your mom? I haven't seen her in a while" he says thoughtfully.

"She...died" I say, feeling my heart ache for the loss of my mother.

"Oh, I am so sorry Jayda. She was a wonderful woman" Carson says, will grabbing my arm and pulling me into a hug.

I pat his back slightly, feeling uncomfortable that a guy who isn't Maddox is hugging me.

"So, errn do you want to go to dinner?" He asks after he pulls away from the hug.

The moment he asks that, two things happen I hear Nikki growl quietly, and I start choking on my saliva. Making Ellie burst out laughing.

When I finally stop coughing I clear my throat.

"I am so sorry Carson, but I am already dating someone" I say apologetically.

"Oh, umm okay. Well can we all go to dinner, your friends also. I just haven't seen you in so long..." He trails off.

"Yeah, sure" I say after a few seconds. I really feel guilty for dumping him without an explanation.

We exchange numbers and he hugs me for a little longer than necessary until finally pulling away and leaving.

I stare after him with a frown on my face, I hope he doesn't think that I want to be with him or something because I really don't.

"What was that?!?!?!" Nikki hisses.

"Umm, me talking to Carson?" I say but it sounds more like a question.

"Maddox is not going to like this, like at all" she states.

"Why not? Carson has been my friend for years" I say.

"I heard him say you dumped him" she seethes.

I frown "Yeah, when Ellie told me about mates I had been going out with him for 3 years and I dumped him, but we are just friends now"

"Just friends my ass, he asked you out" Nikki says while glaring at me.

"And I told him I am dating someone" I say, getting angry all of the sudden, who the hell does she think she is questioning me like that when I would never cheat on Maddox.

"You are still going to dinner with him" she states.

"And I am going to dinner with YOU guys also! I feel fucking guilty for dumping him like that! I want to be friends with him!" I snap and Nikki's eyes soften.

"I am sorry" Nicole says softly.

"Save it, let’s go I want to get home" I say, not meeting her gaze. I just want to get home and see Maddox so he can calm me down.

The ride home was tense my anger kept growing, as soon as I got to the pack village, I slammed the door shut and ran towards home.

It was already dark outside so I knew Maddox would be pissed.

I walked in the house and heard Maddox in the kitchen, I walked over there.

Maddox was shirtless wearing long Pajama pants that hung low on his hips showing his perfect 'V' and he was making a peanut butter sandwich. When he sees me, he holds up the sandwich and asks "want it?"

I shake my head slightly and walk towards him, hugging him and inhaling his scent. He hugs me back quickly.

I instantly calm down. He tenses and sniffs the air, then he pulls away and glares at me.

"Who the fuck were you with?" He asks through clenched teeth.

"Ummmm with Ellie and Nikki?" I squeak out.

"Who else? I smell another male on you" he snarls.

"Oh, that. Well funny story I kind of saw my ex but! Before you go all wolfie on me. We are just friends" I say and close my eyes tightly waiting for his outburst.

And sure enough after a few seconds he reacts.

"Your ex? Your fucking ex are you kidding me? Why the fuck are you talking to your ex! I don't know if you didn't know this but you are mine! You are my fucking mate and I am not going to share you!" He roars.

"Calm down Maddox, I know I am yours he is just a friend" I say in a calm voice.

"The hell you are! I forbid you to get anywhere close to him!" He growls out, his eyes turning black.

"Maddox babe I love you and nobody else, you don't have to worry about this" I say, hugging him and kissing his bare chest since he is too tall for me to kiss.

"I do have to worry about this! He was your boyfriend! He fucking kissed you and I don't know what else" he says, his anger coming back.

"The only thing we did was kiss, and please just calm down. I love you so so so much" I say softly.

"I love you more Babe" he says against my hair.

I decide on not telling Maddox about having dinner with Carson and the girls tomorrow because there is no way he is letting me go if he finds out.

I take a quick shower and fall asleep with Maddox arms wrapped tightly around me.
