Chapter 6

MINUTES PASSED after I pushed him the lights are back and I saw myself naked at the body mirror in my bathroom.

I heard loud knocks on my door, they are asking me if I was okay and I just told them that I am fine.

I didn't even notice that they're already here so I immediately finished my shower and went downstairs to eat with them.

That night was one of the most unforgettable vespers in my entire life that even though our parents didn’t make it to dinner we were still happy.

The next day, my older brothers and I traveled early to the mansion of our grandmother and grandfather which is located at Liangga, Surigao del Sur.

We only used two cars and I am with Phillip while Kuya Rick and Kuya Riel are in one.

It became a family tradition that all of the important events such as birthdays, debuts, and weddings are to be celebrated there.

It took us more than two hours to travel before we reached our destination. I saw my Dad's car so I'm so happy that my family's complete on my special day.

"Where's mum?" I asked Dad.

"You're not with him?" He asked back.

"No, we thought you were together because you both didn't come home last night," I answered.

Dad said and kissed me on my forehead before turning his back to call mum.

I stared at his back and murmured something, wishing that this day would be okay.

It was almost six when the mansion's function hall got accommodated. I am just observing the place from the third floor before the debut starts.

I was about to go inside the dressing room when I saw my mum and Mr. Vazquez, the one she introduced me during the other night's party.

I followed then and noticed that they were heading to the master's bedroom which is my parent's room everytime we're staying here.

When they stopped in front of the room I turned a little so they couldn't see me but I could see them clearly.

And my eyes could clearly see how they kissed, they almost ate each other's faces whole.

A big hand covered my vision and knowing that scent, I already knew who it was.

I faced the person who did nothing but support and love us brothers and sisters. That even though I knew he was hurt by what he saw and heard it still didn’t give up.

"D-dad," I cried but he wiped off the tears in my eyes.

I glanced back to where my Mum was and saw her back leaning against the door so she opened it taking Mr. Vazquez with her.

I immediately followed them but I was too late when they closed the door.

The room was soundproof and God knows what will happen inside seeing their situation earlier.

I went back to my room with my father who had been silent since before.

He smiled and signaled me to go inside the room so that I can fix my make-up. Even so we witnessed the program still going on.

A few minutes passed and the celebration began, I still could not find my mother while my father was with my siblings at the same table and Zild and Ate Ali next to Kuya Riel.

I also saw Mona, Peaches and Alani with my cousins ​​Kuya Cip, Ate Areah with Kuya Allen.

I turned to glanced at Alani but I saw her sipping on her goblet not minding Kuya Allen and Ate Areah's presence.

"Yes, we know Dad and we love you dearly too."

I promised to look at my brothers and sisters who were just to the left of us.

He only smiled in response but this is what I hold on to will not destroy our family forever.

But then I realized that my Father is also a human, hurt and the time will come when he will no longer be able to fight.
