“Why are you here again?”, My stepmother’s voice echoed in the whole house when I walked inside.

“I have to meet your husband. That’s why.”, Saying this, I walked toward his office. I knocked on his door, and after hearing ‘Come in, Princess,’ I stepped inside his office, making sure I didn’t forget to lock the door behind me because whatever I was going to talk about was something I didn’t want others to interrupt in between.
