We all stared at her with our mouths slightly opened in confusion, she rushed towards us, grabbed Jayden's hand and pulled he away from me, then glared at me.

Shouldn't she be grateful that I saved her life? Why is she being mean and rude towards me?

Besides, why would a little girl like her not want a new mom? It's not as if her mother is doing her job quite well.
