Reuniting.

It was late into the night when Lilian and her father set out to the small village in the pack. Their only source of light was that from the moon. Even as the night was still, it was cold, and the crickets could still be heard chirping. Lilian felt a storm of emotions within her as she walked alongside her father who had turned quiet and withdrawn to himself.

After they were a safe distance from Lilian's house— at least no one would be able to pick up her voice nor her father's— she struck a conversation with him.
