“Keys,” he demanded as soon as I stepped out.
I stretched out my hand, and he snatched the keys from me, opened the driver’s door and slid in.
“Get in,” He ordered.
I obeyed without hesitation. We needed to leave before he saw Alex. I would text him when I got home and explain why I left.
I slipped into the passenger seat, and we drove off. Neither of us saying a thing, the silence between us stretched. Why wasn’t he asking me? Does he already know?
