Chapter 2 The Man is The Boss

Chapter 2 The Man is The Boss

What dream did Angela have for her to be this unlucky? How could he insult and accuse his own son of being a director who would now serve as the main director in the office where he works? Even the name Mr. Danial is already very well known on social media in this country. Unfortunately, Angela never knew the face of the director, who was the target of many women.

"Oh my god, am I going to get fired for insulting him last night?" he muttered, feeling very uneasy.

The meeting this morning was very awkward and made it seem difficult for him to speak.

She murmured, "But how come there can be multiple people chasing a president?"

"I think I need coffee now," she muttered, cupping her cheeks. She felt stupid herself.

Angela had just returned from lunch. She had lunch with some colleagues in her division. She walked down the office lobby to the elevator. They stopped in front of the elevator, waiting for the door to open.

Angel looks engrossed in playing on her cellphone. Until she heard a noise around her. She averted her gaze from the cellphone screen to the source of the commotion, and at that moment, her eyes widened. She saw the figure of Regan, who had just entered the office lobby with his personal secretary, Mr. Nickolas.

Knowing the direction Regan was heading made Angel uneasy. The reason is that she does not want to meet again with the man she once thought was a thief. With a quick move, Angel ran to another corner and hid herself behind the wall leading to the fire escape.

"Should I go up using the emergency stairs?" she muttered, peeking at Regan, who was already standing in front of the special elevator for the higher-ups.

Angel immediately pulled back her head as Regan's sharp and watchful eyes turned to her.

"He didn't see me, did he?" She muttered, closing her eyes.

'Oh, how is this? Am I going to get fired from here? After all, why the heck is the Director posing as a thief anyway? What if I get fired from this office? Where else should I apply for a job? This work means a lot to me,' she thought.

Angel finally decided to go to her room by using the fire escape.

Arriving at her desk, Angel immediately landed on her oversized chair and leaned her head against the edge of the table.

"Hey, where have you been? It suddenly disappeared!” someone shouted, making Angel raise her head and turn to the sound source.

"I went to the bathroom first," Angel replied.

"It's easy to just disappear. But it's a shame you missed something very important,” exclaimed the person, who was none other than Rosie, her co-worker.

"So what?" asked Angel, frowning.

"Our new director Pak Danial, we were waiting for the elevator side by side," Rosie exclaimed with sparkling eyes.

'I know. And that's the reason why I ran away,' thought Angel.

"You know Angela. He is very handsome, even though he only smiles a little. He is really very handsome. Oh my God, my heart wants to jump out!" Rosie exclaims exaggeratedly, making Angel frown.

"Excessive,"

"But you also admit that our Director is very handsome, right?" she exclaimed.

"If that's the case, yes," Angel answered. She imagined the moment they locked eyes at that close range. Regan is really very handsome and full of charisma.

Imagining that moment made Angela feel pounding and uncomfortable, making her immediately shake her head quite hard.

"What is it?"

"There aren't any. Come back to your desk already; I want to do my work," Angel shouted, pushing Rosie.

"Ups... alright." Rosie walked away from Angela's desk.

Angela could only exhale and return to finishing her work.

Angel just came out of his office area. She walked to the bus stop as usual.

“Angela…!”

The call stopped her, and she turned to the source of the voice.

“Christian!”

The man called Cristian walked over to Angela.

"You just got home?" asked Cristian, who was now in front of Angel.

"Yaps. By the way, why are you in here?” asked Angel.

“I happened to be passing by, and I saw you walking alone. Come on, I'll take you home!" Cristian exclaimed.

"That I was afraid to trouble you," cried Angel.

“No. I'm the one who asked for it. Come on," said Christian. Angel complied, and they climbed into Cristian's car, which was parked not far from where they were standing earlier.

Cristian invites Angel to have dinner together at a restaurant. They immediately ordered the food they wanted.

"How was your day?" he asked.

"Not bad, not too bad," Angel replied.

"Looks like I just had a bad day," Cristian exclaimed.

"Did something happen?" asked Angel.

"Yes. The tender that I had been targeting for a long time fell into the hands of my rival," complained Cristian.

“That must be very disappointing,” cried Angel.

"No longer, Ngel. I feel like I want to go berserk and scold all my useless employees!" Cristian exclaimed.

“Maybe the tender is not matched with you. Just let it go; I'm sure later you will get a bigger tender than that,” said Angel.

Cristian smiled at Angela. "You know why I took the walk to your office," Cristian exclaimed.

"Why?"

“I purposely want to see you,” cried Cristian. “Just seeing you and talking like this with you makes me feel better. My day isn't so bad after meeting you."

Cristian's words made Angel's cheeks flush red. "What are you?"

Cristian has been his friend since college. They weren't as close as friends, but they were close enough as friends. Actually, Angela had long harbored feelings for Cristian, but unfortunately, Cristian has a girlfriend, and their relationship has been going on for a long time.

Their orders came, and both of them started to focus on enjoying the food menu they ordered.

"So how about Caroline?" she asked.

“ She was busy shooting. She rarely has time with me anymore,” answered Cristian.

Angela could only nod in understanding.

---

Cristian had just escorted Angela to her house.

"Thank you, Chris."

"You're welcome. Then I'll go,” Cristian exclaimed, making Angela nod her head.

Angela was still staring at Cristian's car as it drove away from her.

“Huh, when will this feeling go away?” she muttered.
