The same voice rang out again, calm and almost amused. I followed the sound instinctively, my eyes lifting toward a large tree ahead. That was when I saw her, a female sitting casually on one of the branches, staring down at me as if this was all a game.
“Who are you?” I asked.
“I’m not interested in telling you my name,” she responded smoothly. “But I can show you the way back to your pack.”
