She would never leave her quarters willingly, and there were always people around her, she instructed, eyes on us, watching every move we made. 

With that, I left her presence, walking alone into the quiet corridors of the mansion.

The emptiness followed me. It gnawed at me like an old wound that never fully healed. The loneliness was suffocating. I wanted to speak, to share my thoughts with her. I wanted someone to hold me and for me to hold, but I must wait till she forgives me.
