“What are you doing?” My boss’s voice rang out behind me, sharp enough to send a chill down my spine. I quickly swapped the screen using a command prompt, trying to look calm even though my heart pounded.

He glanced properly at the screen I was on but didn’t comment on it. Instead, he asked flatly,

“Where is Davis?”

“He went to grab some food,” I answered quickly.

“What a foodie,” he muttered with a faint smile, and I couldn’t help but smile back.
