Artemis backed away, clutching her bump.

“What - I thought you have been sent away,” she said, backing away.

I stepped closer. “How long have you known Kaidos?”

She didn’t need to answer it. It was obvious that I had been fooled all along.

“Where is Kaidos?” I asked.

She shook her head. “Where is he, damn it?!”

She pointed. “He’s at the denhouse.”

My eyes fell on my bump and my heart broke at the sight. “Did he tell you that we were together…that I was pregnant for him?”
