The cold bit at my skin as Thakros grunted beside me, his breath forming mists
“It’s a sealed cave, Kael,” he said. “How can someone be there?”
I shook my head, jaw tight. Klaus had always told me what it would feel like the day I found my mate. He had said I would either smell her or have this overpowering feeling to protect her.
Now, I feel it, a pull so strong that it drowned out the evening wind howling across the Plains.
