Kaia’s POV

Angus was pacing around now. I sat silently, waiting for an answer. Occasionally, he would stop, look at me, and attempt to say something. Then he would decide against it and continue pacing.

“It’s the best plan,” I said when I was tired of waiting for an answer.

He stopped. “It’s not about the plan, Kaia,” he said. “How do we get to the Lord’s private room? That’s the only place it would be.”

I sat for a while, thinking. Then an idea struck.

I stood up, beaming.

“Do you know any there? A person of influence would be better.”
