It was too late to shut the door.

Lord Gavic pushed the door open and I fell. He stepped in and scanned the room. The salt was still on the floor.

“What are you up to, Ariella?” He demanded, facing me.

The smile he wore at the table was gone and all that was left was a sinister man.

“I’m practicing,” I told him.

“Practicing?”

I had stood up now and he walked over to me, pulling out something from his clothes.
