“The rogues must have taken her.”

I could feel my heart pounding against my chest. Aliyah had been gone for hours and when we had gone searching, we found the arrows she had carried on the ground.

I was sick and tired of waiting, so I stood up. “I’m going to check again. There must be some clues.”

Alpha Kael followed along. All morning, we had roasted meat and ate, silent most of the time. I could barely eat anything though. Kaia was at large and now, Aliyah was missing.
