"The result of your pregnancy test is negative, Emma," Dr. Mariz Delgado said to me. She was the OB-GYN that was recommended by Mama Credence. I was not aware of their family connections but it seemed like she knew Bram. Dr. Delgado looked around the age of Aunt Calla. She had fair skin and her hair was dyed dark blond. I loved how Dr. Delgado's cute eyes disappeared when she smiled.

I was seated facing her on one of her beautiful white chairs. Her office was composed of white and light brown furniture. It gave her office a relaxing and homey feel.
