Awaking to the sound of thunder and lightning, I managed snap myself out of the comatose state I seemed to be in. The heavy raindrops could be heard all over the little wooden cabin of mine and usually, I indulged in the sound of the wavering emotions of the weather but now, as I lay on the floor with my dress covered in my own blood and my heart still straining against my chest, I couldn’t indulge in anything but the suffocating presence of the mystery man’s scent all over my body.
