Ann – POV

As we headed back for the temple the wind blew softly in my ears. As we left the village behind I pulled down my hood and walked gracefully towards the slope. Aldrich provided light but my heart was racing.

I really hoped I would find Mia when I returned to the temple. Waiting for me with her arms open wide to embrace me.

I walked along the dusty path, lost in thought when it happened.
