Debby’s pov

*Peace home orphanage!* boldly written on the entrance of the orphanage.

Lucas parked his car and we alight. Just as we step out, a woman came rushing towards us… she seems to be in her forties.

She wore a bright and welcoming smile.

“Good evening, sir, ma’am!” She greets us.

“Good evening!” Lucas and I reply. “We’re looking for the matron here!” Lucas said.

She paused and stared at us strangely…I saw fear flashed through her eyes.

“Why are you looking for the matron?” She asked.

“Nothing, we’re here for adoption!” I lied.

She access Lucas and I, then smile brightly.

“Wow, a lovely couple came for adoption...
