The whole drama of today just felt soo off. Valerie that I have known for years now can’t become soo popular in a matter of days after we have signed the divorce papers.

But after Mr Clark told the whole house that she was his daughter and the green heiress of Clark group, I couldn’t hold my anger and surprise. Although, I knew I didn’t like her as much as I loved Fiona, I just couldn’t believe I allowed such a powerful woman out of my life.

She was just a waiter and nothing more, that I thought but it seems she was very smart to hide her identity till this very moment.

To be honest, I wanted her back and I wanted her influence too. Fuck!, what has become of me?.

“Charles are you okay?” Fiona asked and I tried the best I could to pretend to be fine but I knew she could already sense my anger.

“I’m fine.”

“Oh well, you don’t look good to me. You are speeding too much and I know it’s because bog your ex wife.” She said with a frown.

“Valerie could be lying to us about being Mr Clark daughter you know.” Fiona said but I wasn’t paying much heed to her.

We finally got home and mom asked how the my day went.

“My day was fine, I’ll like to go to sleep now.”

I hurriedly went upstairs before mom could ask further questions which she did and so I heard her and Fiona chatting off for a while.

Took of my clothes and got into the shower not only to get clean but to think. I know Valerie was never one to throw tantrums but all this seemed to sudden.

But then I realized that all that had happened today could be true. Valerie didn’t think twice or argue when I told her about the divorce.

I needed to talk to her, beg her. Oh no, she wasn’t a woman I would want to beg for mercy but here I am now. I just needed her to partner with my and grow me to more fame.

I know she still loves me and would consider my request. I just needed some that will help me get her attention especially now that she’s a popular figure.

“Hey Charles, you good.” Fiona said from the door.

“Yes babe. I’m better.”

“I know that witch spoiled your mood but I could make you feel better.” She said and pulled me to herself once I got out of the bathroom.

Fiona smelled good and she looked tempting, I had to break the kiss and pin her to my bed.

“I need to wear my condom Fiona.”

“But why Charles? I am your woman.” I said.

“I’m just taking precautions Fiona.” I said and she got angry and pushed me off her.

“I know why you won’t sleep with me, you are still in love with her. Aren’t you?” She asked angrily.

There’s no need to answer that, you know I love you but I’m not ready to take chances.

Fiona walked out of the room before I could finish explaining myself to her. Today was so messed up, I decided to sleep off so I could wake and make some plans.

“Wake up Charles.”

“What is it?” I asked.

“What did you do to Fiona? She left the house so early looking all angry.

I immediately woke up and found my mother looking angrily at me.

“I didn’t do anything to her.” I said in my defense.

“Oh, and you expect me to believe that Charles.”

“I won’t be explaining anything to you mom, I’ll talk to Fiona.” I said and got into my bathroom.

Damn. All this women, first it was Valerie, now Fiona and now my mother. I need to step out and think for myself.

When I got out from he shower, I was glad my mother was out. I quickly dressed and.called my secretary to ask about my schedule.

“Good morning Mr Charles, you have a meeting with some shareholders by 11am.”

“That’s great Cindy. I need you to do something for me.” Then I paused and realized that I should do it myself.

“Don’t worry about it, I’ll get it done alone.”

“Okay sir.”

I was going to email Valerie and see if we could meet. I’m sure she would here me out when she realize that it for business. I wasn’t soo confident though.

I stopped by a cafe to get coffee and some donuts before driving off to work.

I got into he meeting room and found the members getting ready for the meeting. I checked my tile hoping I’m not late and I was glad I wasn’t.

“Good morning everyone.” I began.

“Good morning.” Everyone chorused.

“Shall we begin the matter at hand.” I asked and everyone seem to nod.

I asked Cindy to tell me the latest news about the market and what I heard wasn’t pretty nice.

“It seems the market is no longer favoring us that much as the queen of jewelry is back to business.” I said in a low tone.

“I’m glad you know that already Charles.” Mr Wilson said in a mocking tone.

“Believe me, I’m going to do everything in my power to make things right.”

“How is that?”

“Mr Wilson, you have never seemed to question me, what is wrong now?”

“I won’t be silent like the rest. We all invested our money in your jewels company for a better out come. Only for us to realize that the person who helped you run this business is to ur ex wife and you could keep her. You couldn’t keep the eye of this business.” He said angrily.

“Mr Wilson, I won’t have you talk about my relationship while we are at business.”

“It’s not about the relationship, it about how we are going to still going to make sales even when we now know that your ex-wife is now our greatest competitor.” Mr Kendrick added.

“I never expected this from you both.”

“Oh Cmon Charles. Our investment is at stake the faster you get this over the better or else.” Mr Wilson said and stood up to leave.

“Or else what Mr Wilson?” I asked.

“You know what will happen.” He said and walked out with Mr Kendrick.

The rest stood up and began to leave and so the meeting room was empty. I slammed the table so hard in anger. This couldn’t be happening to me.

I began to regret why I left Valerie but this wasn’t the time for regrets. I took out my phone and emailed her.

Now, I had to wait for her response which I hope would come.
