Serena felt the air in the room getting heavier. The sight of Mara's limp, bloody body on the floor and the flood of emotions were too much for her. She had to get out, had to get some air. With a hasty step she left the room before everyone else, her movements driven by an inner urge to escape the oppression. At the end of the corridor she found a window and opened it wide, letting the cool night air flow into her face.
