Dorothy’s POV

I could not say a word but seeing him again, he looks so different this time around, he looks cold and serious at what he was doing.

I doubt if he even recognises me, I was on make-up that night and my hair was styled differently.

"Miss, we are waiting?"

"Oh, I am sorry about that." I faked my smile.

The CEO didn't even have eye contact with me, he focused on the file with him.

"My name is Dorothy Caleb....."

Finally, the interview was a wrap, then he said in a cold voice, "Get me chocolate tea, Dorothy."

"Excuse me?" I got provoked but the lady with us gave me a sign and I said, "Sure."

I left the office with the direction given to me to prepare the chocolate tea for him.

I used the opportunity to quickly call my girlfriend, "Hey girlfriend, how did the interview go?" Daniella asked over the phone.

"Terrible, you won't believe it if I told you who the boss is," I said.

"Who is the boss? Our President or?" She asked.

"That would be better, Daniella, my boss to be, is the same guy I had a night with."

"What? No way, this is good and bad at the same time, how about his attitude?"

"He looks different, like completely cold and rude like the word said, he didn't even look at me, the only word he said was,' make me a cup of chocolate tea Dorothy'."

"Seems he is pretending not to know you, pretend as well, do your job but when it's time to love, do not hesitate."

"Go to hell, you caused this, it was just a night, now I am going to be seeing him daily in case I get the job."

"Last time I checked, you made mention of me not talking about last night right? "

"You're serious now." She ended the call.

"Gosh, I hate her so much."

I kept my phone and took the tea to his office when I got frightened as he yelled at me.

"What kind of an incompetent secretary are you anyway? Get me a cup of tea, you spent decades, you just wasted my time, do you even deserve this job at all?"

I had to hold back my tears and said, "I am sorry sir, with time I will be able to fit in."

He left me in his office with the lady.

"Thanks, Miss, for being nice to me, it seems I lost the job." I took my bag.

"Why would you think that? You are the first person, boss has sent to make him tea, which is a good sign. You passed the interview and I love your courage. How you replied to him was amazing, you got the job, you are to resume tomorrow."

"Oh my God, no way, I must be dreaming." I hugged her, "Sorry for this."

"No problem, I understand, that's a boss trait, just be used to him, he is a pain in the ass. Start expecting his calls early, beinh his secretary, you must be diligent." She advises.

I was given a list of things I need to know, thank goodness I am free mostly Sunday's and a few Saturdays in a month.

"Girlfriend I am so happy, you got the job for real, they pay well at that company of yours," Daniella said.

"Yes, what about the night we shared? The person that took my virginity is my boss who is cold to me now, I hate everything."

"Come on, shit happens. What if he is your missing rib?"

"You are so silly to think that." My phone rang, "Damn he's the one calling."

"Answer the call and hear what he has to say." She whispered.

I swipe to answer the call, "Hello sir."

"Dorothy, I sent you some files in your mail. Make sure you access them, I will be needing them for a meeting by 8 am tomorrow, which I believe the schedule is with you already."

"Yes boss, I will start working on them."

"Make sure you get to work before 7 am, to prepare my office." He ended the call.

"Damn, your job is just like a lion den but I am sure you will survive this, you are strong Dorothy."

"Look at what a nightstand causes me now, I can't stop remembering how he kissed me whenever I see him."

"Guess someone is in love." Daniella rolled her eyeballs.

"You know what? enjoy the movie alone, I got work to do."

I left her to get my laptop.

I finished working on the files and slept off by midnight. At exactly 5 am my phone rang and it's my arrogant Greek God boss.

"Good morning boss," I said in a sleepy tone.

"I hope you finished the task I sent you yesterday Dorothy?"

"Yes, boss."

"I will be expecting you before 7 am at the office." He ended the call.

What the hell is wrong with him? He just ruined my sleep that was beginning to get sweeter.

Oh, I need to get to his office before him.

I dashed to the bathroom to freshen up, wore my corporate wear in a haste, took everything I needed and it was just 6:15 am.

I left my apartment and looked for a taxi heading to the company.

On getting there, I got lucky. I arrived before him. I rushed to his office to rearrange his files and transferred the task he gave to me and did everything needed.

I remember breakfast must be served immediately he gets here, so I rushed to make tea for him when I exchanged greetings with other workers.

I finished making his tea when I got the sign that he had arrived already.

"Good morning boss, your tea is served just as you requested." He took them without saying a word of thanks.

"You are welcome," I said silently.

"Here, make five copies of this." He said.

I rushed to make the copies but damn I don't know how to make use of these, luckily one of the workers volunteered to help.

"Thank you so much," I said.

"You are welcome, I guess it's not easy coping with the boss , right , mostly as his secretary?"

"I just don't have any other option than to bear his attitudes, I need to rush to him now." I left rushing to his office.

"You spent time but I will pardon you." He said.

I can't believe him, I am no machine.

"Time for the meeting is 8 am. We leave now since it's just 7:30 am." He said.

I noticed he was struggling with his tie and I remembered he was not with one yesterday, it seems the tie is compulsory today.

"Excuse me, sir, let me help," I said to him standing very close to him as I assisted him to knot his tie. I couldn't breathe because we were damn close and our eyes met together.
