I shift among the sheets and stretch, the realization dawns on me that today is the day. I get out of bed and give Noah a kiss before turning, but he's not there. I get up and head to the bathroom, do my morning routine, and then step out to get my workout clothes.

Once I'm ready and my hair is styled with braids on each side, I leave the room and head to my son's room. I open the door and find it empty, so I close it again. I try Derek and Amy's room next, but no one answers, and it's the same when I go downstairs...
