I woke up in the hospital. At first, the details of how I got there were hazy. Then I started to remember. William was in bed with another woman. I felt the pain of his betrayal in my chest. How could he do that? I have been good to him even with everything he did in the past.

Suddenly, I remembered that I had been bleeding. Oh my God. What if I had lost the baby?

“You’re awake!” I heard his voice before I saw his stupid face.
