He needed to go shopping or something. He checked the cupboard but only found a single slice of bread and even that was a crust. He tried to remember the last time he had eaten anything decent; he couldn't. For the most part, he ordered takeaways and ate out. The rest were quick and easy things that even drunk him could throw together.
"How about we go out for breakfast?" Stryker asked the kid, offering Maddy another withering look. "He can stay here and deal with whatever mess he's made."
"Helping you improve your home is a real mess, huh?" Maddy snorted.
