Wallace didn’t flinch when Lucien aimed the gun at his head.
In fact, he smiled.
The kind of smile that made my skin crawl. Like he knew something we didn’t. Like this was his game, and we were just pieces.
“You should’ve stayed dead,” Lucien growled, finger tightening on the trigger.
Wallace raised his hands slightly, mock surrender. “Now, now. Is that any way to greet an old friend?”
“Friend?” I spat. “You betrayed us. You put a bullet in Alex’s chest. You aligned with Harvey and Brandy—”
