#Chapter6
Iris-
He was a ….. vampire?
He was drinking my blood, I could feel my veins clenching and contracting as he sipped me dry, I couldn’t move, completely paralysed beneath his grasp, all I could do was endure.
He was a vampire.
Was I going insane? How could this be possible? Was he going to kill me? My eyes shot open as I only just put two and two together, blood slave, that’s what it meant, a slave to a vampire, feeding him my blood, that’s why he bought so were all those people at the auction also vampires? I couldn’t believe it, I had to be losing my mind…. How-
I wasn’t only just losing my mind but I was losing consciousness too, the more he drank from me, the more I lost control of my body, I had gone limp before him and I couldn’t help but think that this was one crazy way to go, would I be on the news? ‘ A girls dead body found drained of blood. Bite marks on her neck. Seems like the work of a vampire.’
Is that how I would end up? A dead body on the news that would send the country into a frenzy, scared for their lives? Afraid that there was a vampire on the loose? Or would he get rid of my body? Would he chop me up into pieces and scatter what was left of around the woods? Was I going crazy?
A low painful groan escaped my throat as I began to slowly drift off into the unknown, I wondered, what exactly was the unknown? If vampires existed…. The unknown was holding many secrets that I needed to know.
“Shit.”
I could hear him but I couldn’t see him, my mind had wandered off elsewhere while my body was still physically with him and now I could start feeling him land gentle slaps to my face as he called out for me. So he wasn’t trying to kill me?
“I forgot that humans can be so frail.”
He muttered to himself as I felt him scoop my limp body in his arms and carry me to god knows where but when I felt the soft mattress beneath me, I knew I was diving into a bed, it felt soft and comfortable, it felt like a place I never wanted to get up from, I could let go now, I could sleep here forever but I wouldn’t, I wasn’t frail, I wasn’t fragile or weak, I wasn’t what he thought of me.
“You’re a-“
I said softly as I forced my eyes to open just slightly, pulling myself out of the heaven I had created in my head but the instance I opened my eyes, I came face to face with a blood hungry demon, his eyes were blood red, there were faint dark veins scattered around his eyes and blood trickled down the side of his lips as he stared at me with such force that I was sure he wasn’t here to take my blood but to devour my soul too.
“Here drink this.”
He placed a straw against my lips with a packet of what looked like juice. I didn’t hesitate, I felt nauseous and barely conscious so I drank whatever he gave me. It tasted nice, sweet and cold against my fevered throat.
“It’s vitamins and nutrients that you’ve lost from my feeding. It’ll help you feel better.”
He said casually, acting as though he didn’t just suck the life out of me.
“You’re a-“
I muttered again, trying to finish off my last sentence, I needed the confirmation and I didn’t have to wait for it as he interrupted me.
“A blood demon.”
That’s new. I thought he would say vampire.
“I know, you have questions. No we are not called vampires. We’re demons that live on blood. Though unlike vampires, we drink from any species, other weaker demons, vampires, humans, any kind of species.”
So he wasn’t exactly a vampire but a lot like them.
“What’s your name?”
I asked, although I had so many other questions, I thought this one was the most appropriate.
“Cien though to you, I am Master. And your name is Iris yes?”
How did he know? Although, he must’ve found out from the people who abducted me from the orphanage.
“Cien.”
I said his name, a shudder escaped his body as he moved away from me, his facial expression as cold as one could be.
“Don’t ever use my name.”
Nodding my head, I flinched as he came close to me again, noticing my fright, he paused, tilting his head to the side, he studied me as did I, I was afraid of him, but I wasn’t sure why, I mean of course he was a blood sucking demon that could end my life at any point in time but so could any other human, they would just not do it by draining me dry of my blood.
“You can rest here for now. Your body needs time to rejuvenate for my next feeding time.”
He informed me ever so casually, it felt like he was talking about him eating a sandwich at lunch.
“How many times a day do you need to drink my blood?”
Even the question itself made me internally cringe, I never thought I’d ever have to ask this question in my entire life.
“Need? I only need to drink a good amount of blood once a month but how many times I want to? That’s a mystery, whenever I feel like it.”
His words weren’t very promising, it told me that he would drink from me as he wished and when he wished however he only needed it once a month so why would he put my body through that just for his own pleasure?
“Rest now because when you wake up, we have things to do.”
And with that, he disappeared out of the room, leaving me here to think…. Was any of this even… real?
