I dashed out of the office like a man possessed,leaving Kira behind, grateful to Richard for agreeing to look after the kids. I jumped into my car with my men and sped away.

We broke every traffic law imaginable, with the police hot on our tail, but I didn’t care. My life flashed before my eyes as I drove; I couldn’t afford to lose her.

Not now, not ever.

I was determined to fight for her, no matter the cost. For the first time in my life, tears threatened to spill from my eyes.
