As soon as Penelope collapsed, Enzo stood frozen in shock, his tears mingling with the rain that poured down on him.

A bullet had struck the left side of her head, leaving her unconscious. Vespera observed from a distance, and when she witnessed Penelope fall, she let out a piercing scream and rushed to her side, collapsing next to her and crying out loudly, which drew the attention of others nearby.
