“You need to get used to using your hands. You don’t have any opposable thumbs, remember?” Her father replies.

“That’s not.” Alex starts. “Not what I meant. I mean why do we have to start so early in the morning?”

“Because I said so. Now let’s get started.” He replies sternly.

Alex sighs in defeat as she watches her father leave her in the kitchen, closing the door behind him.

After several minutes pass, her father eventually comes back into the kitchen. “So, what should we be making for breakfast today?”

Alex shrugs. “I haven’t decided yet.”
