Once he walks around to the driver's side, they drive off in silence. About ten seconds into the ride, Daniel realizes that something is wrong. He turns to look at his daughter in his rearview mirror.

“Sweetie, where is your backpack?” he asks her.

Alex stares out of the window for several seconds before turning her head to face him.

“My backpack?” she repeats nervously. “What do you mean my backpack? Where did my backpack go?” she continues to ask frantically.

Daniel looks confused for a moment.

“Uh...you left it at the playground yesterday. Didn’t you remember to grab it?” he inquires carefully.

Alex suddenly begins to shake her head...
