“I’m pregnant.” The woman blurts out.
Alex’s eyes widen in surprise. “Pregnant? How far along are you?”
She nods. “About two months.”
Alex’s eyebrows furrow together as her mind struggles to process everything that was being said. “Two months? How did you not tell me? Or momma? Or even your own doctor?” She questions angrily.
The woman winces slightly, biting her lip nervously. “I tried to. But your mother wasn’t very keen on me keeping my pregnancy quiet.”
Alex raises an eyebrow, trying to control her anger. “Well, that’s not surprising. You should be grateful that my mom wasn’t yelling at you for having an abortion.” She states.
