The following morning, when the sun rises outside, it hits Daniel hard in the face, waking him up. He groans quietly in annoyance. His body aches, his eyelids are heavy and dry, and it pains him to move too much. But when he shifts ever so slightly, he discovers that there’s someone lying against his side, fast asleep, snuggled up against him.
