CHAPTER 7 – JANE

His words reverberate in my head and I can't believe we're back to this. Can't say I didn't see it coming. But I thought my life had gotten better than this. How wrong I was!

Still, I refuse to give in to his intimidation and threats. I almost didn't survive it when I went with him years back. Why would I wanna take that route again?

"Go to hell," I say to his face, spitting on it.

"How dare you?!" He growls, numbing my face with a resounding slap.

Something dies inside of me at the impact and I think it's my strong will. I'm back...
